February 2022

We’re back! We are rehearsing again. Our rehearsals this term take place on Thursdays 24 February; 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31 March 2022. We are no longer asking singers to wear masks to rehearsals, but we are still being careful, making sure to ventilate our rehearsal room well and using a CO2 monitor.

We’ve also reinstated a coffee break half-way through the rehearsal, and we’re really enjoying the chance it offers us to mingle and chat with fellow singers!

Summer concert. We would like to plan a summer concert and there are discussions going on at the moment about where and when this will be. We hope to share more details in March 2022.

Before the outbreak of the pandemic in March 2020, our programme looked like this…

• We took part in the ‘Come and Sing’ Mozart Requiem on Saturday 29 February 2020 in Pembroke Chapel. This was part of the Pembroke Festival of Voice.
• We were expecting to sing at Pembroke’s annual Choral Evensong for the Commemoration of Benefactors in June 2020, joining with the Pembroke Chapel Choir to sing this.
• We were working towards a performance of Will Todd’s Durham Jazz Evensong in Baldock Parish Church in November 2020.
• We were planning a tour to Zurich in December 2020. This was postponed but we are looking to see if we can reinstate it in 2023.
